Starting Up TikTok Shop Affiliate Programme
Step 1: Log in to TikTok Shop Seller Centre and find "Affiliate" at the top of the screen. From there, click on the tab and it will redirect you to this page:Step 2: Once you click on "Next" from the page shown above, you will be redirected to "Collaboration" with two choices.
Target Collaboration vs. Open Collaboration
These collaborations are provided as options by TikTok Shop to help your business' affiliate strategy grow. To better understand the difference between these two collaborations, we will explain both below:Target Collaboration
Choosing Target Collaboration allows you to send your product listings directly to creators, along with the commissions you set. Creators will receive this in their inbox and can choose to add your product to their showcase, enabling them to create content and start selling your products.Open Collaboration
Choosing Open Collaboration allows you to add some or all of your products to the TikTok Shop Affiliate Programme network. Your products will then be visible to all creators in our Product Marketplace, accessible through the TikTok app. Once a creator selects your product and adds it to their showcase, they can start creating content and making sales. The commission you’ve defined will be automatically deducted from each sale and paid to the creator.FAQ
- Can I switch from Open Collaboration to Target Collaboration and vice-versa?
- A product can be registered in all collaborations simultaneously. If a product is listed in both types of collaboration, the commission shown to the creator will follow this hierarchy: Target Collaboration > Open Collaboration.
- Example: Product A has Targeted Collaboration commission of 15%, Open Collaboration commission of 10%. Creator A is invited to promote the product using Targeted Collaboration and commission displayed to Creator A will be 15%. After successfully generating sales for the product, creator A will receive 15% commission.
- A product can be registered in all collaborations simultaneously. If a product is listed in both types of collaboration, the commission shown to the creator will follow this hierarchy: Target Collaboration > Open Collaboration.
